DAVIS, Calif.- Lauren Becker scored twice to lead No. 14 Stanford past UC Davis 4-2 on Saturday night, helping the Cardinal secure the conference's regular-season West Division title.
The Cardinal (11-6, 5-0 NorPac) remained unbeaten through league play so far, with Tuesday's contest against California representing the final regular season game on the schedule.
Stanford held advantages in shots (9-7) and penalty corners (5-3). The Cardinal swept the season series against UC Davis (6-10, 2-2 NorPac), also defeating the Aggies 5-0 back on Oct. 5.
Becker's goal in the fourth minute came off a redirect following a shot from Kelsey Harbin and one-touch from Becky Dru.
Shannon Herold gave Stanford a 2-0 lead at halftime, centering a cross pass from Maddie Secco at the 33:22 mark.
After Nadia Namdari's goal in the 39th minute brought UC Davis to within 2-1, Becker struck again for her second goal in the 55th minute following a quick pass from Katie Mitchell.
UC Davis sliced the lead to 3-2 just two minutes later following a goal from Jamie Garcia.
Stanford added an insurance goal in the 67th minute, with Dru finding the cage and Elise Ogle providing the assist.
The Cardinal hosts California on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.
