LOS ANGELES- No. 19 Stanford dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 2 USC on Saturday afternoon to wrap up a Southern California road trip.
The Cardinal (3-4), which fell 7-0 at No. 3 UCLA yesterday, trailed 1-0 after the Trojans (9-0) claimed the doubles point.
Leading 3-0, USC clinched the match at the No. 3 position when Roberto Quiroz topped Maciek Romanowicz 6-3, 6-2.
Stanford picked up its only point on court four, where Nolan Paige outdueled Max de Vroome 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (8).
The Cardinal is idle until Sunday, Feb. 24, against California.
