STANFORD, Calif.- No. 19 Stanford dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 68 TCU on Tuesday afternoon in the final match of a five-game homestand at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The Cardinal (3-2, 0-0 Pac-12) will play its next three matches on the road, beginning with this weekend's road swing against UCLA (Feb. 8) and USC (Feb. 9).
TCU (5-2, 0-0 Big 12) captured the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead in the match, posting victories at the top two spots.
The Horned Frogs extended their lead to 2-0 with a victory at the No. 3 spot before Trey Strobel's 6-4, 7-5 win at the No. 6 position accounted for the Cardinal's first point.
Orlando Superlano's 7-6, 7-5 win over Maciek Romanowicz at the No. 4 spot clinched the match for TCU.
John Morrissey picked up Stanford's other point with a 7-5, 7-5 triumph on court one.
