No. 13 Stanford Downs No. 21 Arizona State, 6-1

TEMPE, Ariz.- No. 13 Stanford completed a sweep of its road trip through the desert, defeating No. 21 Arizona State 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Stanford, which blanked No. 75 Arizona 7-0 yesterday, will head into next weekend's regular-season finale at California with a chance to claim a share of the conference title.

The Cardinal (16-3, 8-1 Pac-12) has won five in a row and 12 of its last 13 overall.

The Sun Devils (15-5, 5-4 Pac-12) have dropped four straight contests following a 12-match winning streak.

Stanford booked 8-3 victories at the top two spots of the lineup en route to claiming the doubles point.

The Cardinal then clinched the match with three quick singles victories.

Ellen Tsay made it 2-0 following a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 spot. Kristie Ahn was just as dominant, breezing past Desirae Krawczyk 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2 position for a 3-0 lead.

Krista Hardebeck then made the result official with a 6-4, 7-6 (2) triumph on court three.

Stanford is back in action on Friday, April 19, facing California in Berkeley. The match will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, with the doubles competition taking place at 12:30 p.m. prior to singles at 2 p.m.
