STANFORD, Calif.- No. 42 Stanford notched its fourth shutout of the season on Tuesday, blanking No. 71 Pacific 7-0 at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The Cardinal (11-9, 3-3 Pac-12) has won three in a row and four of its last six overall.
Pacific (13-7, 3-1 Big West) has dropped two of its last three overall.
After capturing the doubles point for a 1-0 lead, Stanford quickly chalked up three victories on the back courts.
Denis Lin and Daniel Ho posted identical 6-0, 6-2 victories on courts six and four, respectively, before Trey Strobel provided the clincher with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Ben Mirkin at the No. 5 spot.
Stanford next hosts California in the regular season finale on Saturday at 1 p.m. The match will also serve as Senior Day for Sam Ecker, Matt Kandath, Denis Lin and Walker Kehrer. The foursome has led Stanford to a 72-30 record and back-to-back NCAA Tournament quarterfinal finishes.
