Scott Reiss - "Voice of the Cardinal"
Stanford University alum and veteran broadcaster Scott Reiss is entering his second season as the voice of Cardinal football and men's basketball. Reiss was the play-by-play broadcaster for Cardinal football, men's basketball and baseball games on KZSU-FM from 1992-94 while finishing his undergraduate and graduate degrees. For more than two decades, Reiss has been a well-known collegiate sports broadcaster both statewide and nationally. Reiss has served as an anchor/reporter at Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, hosting Giants, A's and Sharks pregame and postgame shows. Reiss' experience nationally includes an eight-year stint with ESPN, where he anchored several shows including SportsCenter, College Football Live and College Gamenight and handled play-by-play for ESPN Radio college football and ESPN-TV college basketball. He also hosted College Gameday on ESPN Radio.

 

Todd Husak - Football Color Analyst
Todd Husak, who gained broadcast experience as a color analyst for Fox Sports, is in his fifth season as color analyst for the Cardinal Sports Network. Husak enjoyed a stellar career as a quarterback for Stanford from 1996-99. A two-year starter, he ranks as the school's fifth all-time leading passer with 6,564 yards, fifth in career touchdown passes (41), fifth in total offense (6,428), and holds the record for most passing yards in a single game (450). As a senior, he earned first team All-Pac-10 Conference honors and led Stanford to the Pac-10 title and a Rose Bowl appearance. A sixth round draft pick of the Washington Redskins in 2000, he played five seasons in the NFL with the Redskins (2000), Denver Broncos (2001), New York Jets (2002-03) and Cleveland Browns (2004) before retiring. Todd returned to Stanford in 2005 and earned a MA in Education while coaching the Tight Ends for the football team under then head coach Walt Harris. Husak currently works full-time in commercial real estate for CBRE and is the manager of the Palo Alto office.

 

John Platz - Men's Basketball Play-by-Play, Football Sideline Reporter and Inside Stanford Sports Host
Longtime Stanford radio voice and former Cardinal basketball player John Platz enters his second year as men's basketball radio color analyst and sideline reporter on football broadcasts. Platz has had a variety of Stanford radio roles since 1988, including 25 years as color analyst on Cardinal basketball broadcasts (1989-2014), two years as the #1 play-by-play voice of the NCAA champion Stanford baseball team (1988 and 1989 seasons), and nearly two decades as fill-in play-by-play announcer on Stanford football and basketball broadcasts (1993-2010). The San Marino (CA) native was a letterman point guard on Stanford basketball teams in the early 1980s, graduating in 1984 with a B.A. in economics and earning election into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He later received joint J.D. and M.B.A. degrees in 1989 from Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. A longtime Bay Area attorney as well as broadcaster, Platz currently serves as Senior Counsel at Cisco Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA.

 

Drew Shiller- Men's Basketball Color Analyst
Drew Shiller, a three-year letterwinner on the Stanford men's basketball team from 2008-10, enters his third season as the team's color analyst. A three-time Pac-10 All-Academic honoree, Shiller averaged 4.6 points per game while shooting just under 40 percent from beyond the arc over three seasons. As a senior, his 7.5 points per game ranked third-best on the squad and his 58 three-pointers were second only to Pac-10 leader Jeremy Green's 93. Shiller began his collegiate career at San Francisco, playing in 28 games for the Dons during the 2005-06 campaign and averaging 4.4 points per game. A native of Burlingame, Calif., Shiller is a 2009 graduate of Stanford with a degree in communication and later received his M.A. in communication in 2010. Drew currently serves as a Web Producer for CSNbayarea.com and is also signed on to be the color analyst for all 24 of the Santa Cruz Warriors' home games during their inaugural 2012-2013 season as the Developmental League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors.

 

Savino Ruvalcaba - Broadcast Engineer
Ruvalcaba will begin his tenth season as the broadcast engineer/producer for Stanford football broadcasts, men's basketball broadcasts and Inside Stanford Sports with David Shaw and Johnny Dawkins. Revalcaba is the Sports Remote Coordinator for Univision Radio and the producer/engineer for the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Raiders Spanish radio broadcasts (2006-2008). Ruvalcaba has also worked as the producer/engineer for the National Spanish Radio broadcasts for Super Bowl XXI and XXII.
