Drac Wigo Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week
Senior Drac Wigo (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northeast High School) of the Stanford men's water polo team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 14-20.

Senior utility Drac Wigo (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northeast High School) of the No. 2 Stanford men's water polo team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 14-20.
Wigo scored 17 goals over the weekend as Stanford captured the NorCal Invitational title with a perfect 4-0 record. Saturday, Wigo netted eight goals in Stanford's 15-9 victory over No. 7 Pepperdine, then followed that up with six goals over the Cardinal's 8-7 semifinal win over No. 3 California and 6-5 championship game win over No. 4 UCLA. Against the Bruins, Wigo scored four goals, including the final three for the Cardinal.
He was also named the MPSF Mikasa Player of the Week on Monday, the second such honor of his career.
This is Wigo's first Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor and the first for the women's water polo team in the 2009-10 season. Wigo and the Cardinal will return to action Oct. 3 at Avery Aquatic Center against the UCLA Bruins.
