Toby Gerhart Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior running back Toby Gerhart, the national Walter Camp Foundation and Pac-10 Conference Offensive Player of the Week, was also named the Stanford Athletics Muscle Milk Athlete of the Week following a single-game record 223 yards over No. 7 Oregon on Saturday.
The game also marked a number of milestones for the Norco, Calif. native, as he topped 30 career touchdowns with three more on Saturday, giving him 32, tied the career record for 100-yard games (16), and broke his own single season record for rushing, moving the marker from 1136 last year to 1217 years this year with three more regular season and another bowl game to go.
Gerhart is also the first back in school-history to rush for 200 yards twice in one season, as the effort on Saturday, broke his previous best of 200 against No. 24 Washington earlier this season.
The No. 25-ranked Cardinal, ranked for the first time since 2001, beat Oregon 51-42 last Saturday and travel to No. 11-ranked USC this weekend for a 12:30 p.m. matchup on Fox Sports.
