About Steuber Rugby Stadium  

Steuber Rugby Stadium is home to both the men's and women's Rugby teams. Stadium construction was completed in March 2003 at a cost of $3 million. The facility is named after the Steuber Family.

Field Dimensions 

80m x 150m within fence. 70m x 132m playable field with 5 m run out.

Field Surface 

The field is Tif-2 Hybrid Bermuda with Rye over seeding and a Sand filled Channel Drain.

Scoreboard 

The scoreboard was designed by Daktronics for rugby use only.

Doyle Family Rugby Clubhouse 

The Doyle Family Rugby Clubhouse is located behind the bleacher overlooking the Rugby Field. The Clubhouse is used for Pre and Post Game Events and can also serve as a meeting space for the teams.

 
Ticket Information 

There is no charge for most regular season events at the venue, post-season and other special events require tickets.

All other ticket inquiries, including advance tickets and tickets to other sporting events, are handled through the main Stanford Athletics Ticket Office, located at Gate 2 of Stanford Stadium. Office Hours: Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Closed Holidays.

Seating Information

The capacity of Steuber Rugby Stadium is 660 for fixed seating. With compatibility for 16 disabled seats, the total seating becomes 676. Steuber Rugby Stadium has permanent bleacher seating, with the capacity for additional temporary bleachers on the east side of the field.

Steuber Rugby Stadium is located south of Masters Grove and adjacent to Boyd & Jill Smith Family Stadium (the softball stadium). To access the field, walk from the east side of the Klein Field at Sunken Diamond Parking Lot past Maloney Field and Masters Grove.

From Highway 101 North & South:

  • Take the Embarcadero Road exit West towards Stanford. At El Camino Real, Embarcadero turns into Galvez Street. Cross El Camino Real and continue on Galvez. Turn left onto Nelson Road and proceed into the Klein Field at Sunken Diamond Parking Lot. To access Steuber Rugby Stadium, walk from the east side of the parking lot past Maloney Field and Masters Grove.

From Highway 280 North & South: You have three alternative routes.

  • Exit Sand Hill Road east towards Stanford. Continue on Sand Hill until you reach the Stanford Shopping Center. Turn right onto Arboretum Road and make another right onto Galvez Street. Then, make a left onto Nelson Road and proceed into the Klein Field at Sunken Diamond Parking Lot. To access Steuber Rugby Stadium, walk from the east side of the parking lot past Maloney Field and Masters Grove.
  • Exit Alpine Road east towards Stanford. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Junipero Serra Blvd. Turn left at the next traffic light onto Campus Drive West. Continue on Campus Drive until you reach Galvez Street, where you'll take a left. Turn right onto Nelson Road and proceed into the Stanford Stadium parking lot. To access Steuber Rugby Stadium, follow the walkway in the southeast corner of the parking lot.
  • Exit Page Mill Road towards Palo Alto. Turn left at the second traffic light onto Junipero Serra Blvd. Continue on Junipero Serra Blvd. and turn right onto Campus Drive East. Take a right onto Galvez Street, then make a right onto Nelson Road and proceed into the Stanford Stadium parking lot. To access Steuber Rugby Stadium, follow the walkway in the southeast corner of the parking lot.

Parking

Parking is located in the Stanford Stadium parking lot (Varsity Lot) next to Klein Field at Sunken Diamond. Marked disabled spaces are available in the south end of the lot. A disabled placard (from any state) will be necessary to access the disabled parking areas.

Disabled Guests 

Disabled guests can access the facility at the main entrance of the field.
