AT STANFORD: Two-time first team all-conference selection...started 37 of a possible 39 games during his career at the left tackle position...helped anchor an offensive line that was one of the nation's best units over a three-year span from 2009-11...blocking skills helped Stanford record its three top single-season rushing totals in school history, including a school-record 2,837 yards in 2009...pass protection from the left tackle position was instrumental in Andrew Luck setting school records for touchdown passes, completion percentage and passing efficiency...offensive line allowed just 24 sacks over a three-year period.
2011 (JUNIOR): First team Walter Camp Football Foundation and American Football Coaches' Association All-American...earned first team All-Pac-12 honors for a second straight season...was also a finalist for the Lombardi Award...teamed with right guard David DeCastro to anchor an offensive line that was again one of the nation's best units in 2011...veteran leadership helped in the transition of three first-year starters...started 37 of 39 games in his career at left tackle...quarterback protection provided from his left tackle position has helped Andrew Luck lead the Pac-12 in passing efficiency rating each of the last two seasons and compile a 66.4 career completion percentage...run-blocking ability has also helped the Cardinal average 210.6 yards per game on the ground, which was the second best mark in the Pac-12 and a figure that ranked 18th nationally...Stanford finished the season with 2,738 yards on the ground, which was the third=highest single-season mark in school history.
2010 (SOPHOMORE): First team All-Pac-10 selection...teamed with Chase Beeler, David DeCastro, Andrew Phillips and Derek Hall to form one of the top offensive lines in the nation...protected Andrew Luck's blind side, as the sophomore led the Pac-10 in passing efficiency for the second year in a row...line allowed just six sacks on the season, the second fewest in the nation...helped pave the way for a young Stanford rushing attack to rack up the second-highest rushing total in school history (2,779) and average 213.8 yards per game.
2009 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection...named a second team freshman All-American by CollegeFootballNews.com...appeared in all 13 games and made 11 starts at left tackle...was one of two redshirt freshman starters on the offensive line, along with David DeCastro...started the first six games of the season along with the last five...was part of an offensive line that allowed a Pac-10-low seven sacks on the year...also helped pave the way for Stanford's ground game to establish a new single-season rushing record of 2,837 yards...as left tackle, played a key role in protecting quarterback Andrew Luck's blind side, as Stanford's freshman signal caller led the Pac-10 Conference in passing efficiency at 143.47.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Graduated from Harvard-Westlake School in North Hollywood, Calif. ...ranked as the No. 44 offensive tackle nationally by Rivals.com as well as the No. 52 overall player in California by the organization...SuperPrep ranked him No. 95 among California/Hawaii/Nevada prospects...an all-section and All-Mission League player as a senior in 2007 when he helped lead his club to an 8-4 record and the second round of the postseason...also earned All-Mission League honors as a junior...majoring in classics.
