Club/High School: Four-time Junior Olympic Nationals competitor ... Earned seven regional gold medals ... Competing for Gymnastics East of Bellevue, she earned a gold medal on balance beam in international competition in Santiago, Chile, in 2002 ... A graduate of Woodinville High, Billmaier was named the 2003 Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Personal: Born August 2, 1985 in San Jose, CA ... Daughter of Jim and Michelle Billmaier ... Brother Kris is currently an outfielder in the Detroit Tigers' minor league system ... hobbies include shopping and hanging out with friends.

What is your favorite thing about Stanford?
I am absolutely in love with everything about Stanford, but if I had tochoose one thing, it would have to be my teammates. Each personcontributes something really unique and amazing to the dynamic of the team. Being such a close-knit and supportive group, the atmosphere at practice isawesome, and I know that we will be able to accomplish incredible thingsthis year.
Why did you decide to come to Stanford?
Stanford's combination of academic excellence and athletic prowess makes itthe best place on earth. I feel so honored to be here!
What are you most excited for during your second year on theStanford Women's Gymnastics team?
Due to a shoulder injury, I was unable to compete last year. After a longrecovery process of surgeries and physical therapy, I am ecstatic tofinally be able to contribute to the Cardinal line up! Also, with such ayoung and enthusiastic team, I'm excited to open up some eyes to the talent of our program. I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!
What about Stanford has most surprised you so far?
Before I came to Stanford, I had always heard it was like a dream cometrue...I had no idea that it was even better.
Where do you see yourself at the end of this year both academicallyand athletically?
I'll probably be excited about another great year under my belt at Stanford,and looking forward to the upcoming one!
