Courtney Johnson enters her third year as a volunteer assistant for the Stanford women’s water polo team. A member of the 2000 Olympic silver medallist team along with current Stanford players Ellen Estes and Brenda Villa, Johnson has been a National Team member since 1995.
Johnson competed at Cal from 1992-96 and was the Most Valuable Player for the Golden Bears for three-straight years (1994-96). In her senior year, she was named the MPSF Player of the Year as well as the MVP of the Collegiate Nationals.
Johnson, a Salt Lake City, Utah native, earned a B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley and graduated in May with her J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law. She is married to Darren and is currently working at a law firm in Palo Alto.
