The 2002 Season: Started three games and appeared in all 11 at one defensive end position ... Started game Nos. 1, 3, and 5 vs. Boston College, Arizona State and Washington State ... The 2001 Season: Drew began the season as an offensive lineman, but after injuries depleted the Cardinal's defensive line, he was moved back to defensive end ... It was week eight of the season when Drew was not only asked to switch positions, but was immediately put in the starting lineup in a game at Arizona on November 10 ... He responded by playing solid defense for the Cardinal over the final four regular season games ... He wound up starting at DE vs. Arizona, California, Notre Dame and San Jose State ... Finished the season with seven tackles and one fumble recovery ... Had three tackles vs. Notre Dame ... Recovered a fumble vs. Cal in The Big Game ... Also the team's starting long snapper ... Earned his first varsity letter.
The 2000 Season: Received limited playing time as a backup on the defensive line.
The 1999 Season: Redshirted the '99 season as a reserve defensive end.
In High School: Named to PrepStar's All-American team following his senior season ... Played both offense and defense at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in Maryland ... SuperPrep All-Mid-Atlantic selection ... Had 76 tackles, 18 tackles-for-loss, six sacks, and four forced fumbles as a senior ... First-Team All-Metro, All-County and All-State ...
