A top-notch crew who particularly excelled in big breezes... hopes to transition into a skipper role this season...began sailing in optimists on his own waters of Long Beach Island, N.J....junior sailing career took off when he qualified for his first international team, representing team USA abroad in 2005 and again in 2006...participated in the International 420 Championships in Gran Canaria Island off the coast of Africa and finished an impressive 6th despite 30-knot winds and 20-foot swells.

2007-08 (Freshman): First, A-division, St. Francis YC Open Intersectional...named Most Improved Skipper by Stanford sailing.

Prior to Stanford: Played three years of varsity tennis at Spring-Ford Area High School...was a member of U.S. Optimist national team...competed in I420 World Championship, 2005, Brest, France, and 2006, Gran Canaria, Spain...Optimist North American Championship, 2003, Valle de Bravo, Mexico, and 2004, Houston, Texas...Sunfish World Championship, 2007, Long Beach Island, NJ
