At Stanford: Senior outfielder has seen his playing time steadily rise during his first three seasons, and is primed to have his best year in 2009...has worked extremely hard to become a more consistent offensive threat, and can easily emerge as a key cog in the Cardinal lineup...has tremendous speed to complement some pop at the plate...owns a career .278 batting average (47-for-169) with 43 runs, nine doubles, four triples, three home runs and 24 RBI in 92 collegiate games (43 starts)...is a perfect 4-for-4 on career stolen base attempts...has arguably the best outfield arm on the club, and is an excellent all-around athlete...with his speed and arm strength, can play any of the three outfield positions...selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 50th round of the 2005 MLB First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign a professional contract.

As a Junior in 2008: Saw the most extensive time of his career, helping the Cardinal reach Omaha...platooned in right field, getting most of the starts there when Stanford faced a right-handed pitcher...hit .279 (31-for-111) with 25 runs, five doubles, four triples, one home run, 14 RBI and three stolen bases in 54 games (34 starts), setting his career high in every category except homers...tied for the team lead in triples...Stanford was an impressive 22-11-1 (.662) in his 34 starts in right...was a .346 hitter (9-for-26) with runners in scoring position...recorded four outfield assists, while logging a .972 fielding percentage (two errors in 72 total chances)...started off on the right foot, going 2-for-2 with a run scored, two RBI and a walk in Stanford's season-opening win over Nebraska...went 7-for-12 with three runs scored, two doubles, one triple and four RBI during a three-game stretch from March 22-25...set a career high with three hits March 22 at Pacific, and hammered his lone home run of the season March 25 at Sacramento State...played in 20 Pac-10 games (12 starts), batting .250 (10-for-40) with 11 runs scored...saw action in six NCAA Tournament games (five starts), and went 2-for-9 (.222) with two runs scored, one RBI and a stolen base...handled his seven defensive chances without an error...made his postseason debut in a May 31 Regional game vs. Arkansas, going 1-for-4 with a stolen base...went 1-for-2 at the College World Series, singling on June 21 vs. Georgia.

As a Sophomore in 2007: Batted .276 (16-for-58) with four doubles, a career-high two home runs, 10 RBI and a stolen base over 30 games played (nine starts)...added 16 runs scored and was perfect in his 17 defensive chances...delivered a two-run, pinch-hit double in his first career at-bat, February 4 at Cal State Fullerton...belted his first career home run and had three RBI February 23 against Kansas, before picking up his first career stolen base against the Jayhawks two days later...had his first career multi-hit game March 31 against UCLA, going 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI...was consistent with a .276 batting average (8-for-29) in 14 Pac-10 games (two starts), adding a homer and four RBI in conference play.

As a Freshman In 2006: Appeared in eight games (all as a pinch-runner), and scored two runs.

High School: Graduated in 2005 from Detroit (Mich.) Country Day School...was named to the 2005 All-Michigan Dream Team by the Detroit Free Press...twice selected to the All-Area Team (2003 and 2005)...posted a .450 prep career batting average, with 14 home runs...graduated cum laude...coached by Frank Orlando.

Other Amateur Baseball: Did not play baseball in the summer of 2008...had his second consecutive productive season with the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League in 2007, hitting .294 with three homers, 19 RBI and a team-high 28 stolen bases...batted .240 (35-for-146) with 13 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 2006...did not play baseball in the summer of 2005...played with the Concealed Security Dodgers during the 2004 summer season, batting .383 with five homers...participated in the 2004 Area Code Games, playing with the White Sox team...played at the 2004 East Coast Professional Showcase for the Twins squad.
