As a Freshman in 2006: Hit .273 (30-for-110) with a home run, six RBI and two stolen bases in his rookie season, playing in 42 games with 29 starts (second among Stanford freshmen)...tied for fourth on the team with 18 walks, while adding 26 runs scored, two doubles and one hit by pitch...had five hits in seven at-bats during back-to-back multiple-hit games from March 27 - April 1 (Gm 1)...got off to a hot start and still had his batting average above .300 as late as April 8...contributed seven multiple-hit games with a trio of three-hit contests...also had one two-RBI effort...made just one error in 45 defensive chances for a .978 fielding percentage...hit .200 (9-for-45) with two RBI in Pac-10 action, playing in 16 games with 13 starts...started in his collegiate debut Feb. 5 vs. Cal State Fullerton and went 1-for-2 with a run scored...belted his first collegiate home run March 10 at USC, a two-run shot off All-American Ian Kennedy that snapped a 5-5 tie in Stanford's eventual 7-6 victory...delivered a pinch-hit single in his postseason debut, June 11 vs. Oregon State in an NCAA Super Regional contest.
