International Competition: Swam at the 2010 ConoccoPhillips National Championships in August, reaching the C Finals of the 200 and 100 breast... at the 2009 World University Games in Serbia, won his heat in the 200 breaststroke and placed seventh (2:11.17) in the finals... competed in two finals at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb., where he finished sixth in the 200 breast (2:11.88) and seventh in the 100 breast (1:01.31)...also competed in the 400 IM at the trials... reached the finals of the 200-meter butterfly "B" Final at the U.S. Open in Federal Way, Wash., finishing seventh... finished eighth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.71 in the Finals... 2007 junior national champion in the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke... 2005 Junior Pan Pacific champion...top-eight finisher at 2007 international swim meet in Japan.
2010-11 Season (Senior): Finished off his career in the 100 breast for the fourth year, finishing 11th in the 200 breast (53.11)... finished third at NCAAs in the 400 medley relay..... ranked 16th in the 200 breast and 19th in the 100 breast... fifth in the 200 breast and sixth in the 100 breast at Pac-10s, helping the Cadinal's 30th-straight conference title... part of 1-2 combo, finishing second to teammate Curtis Lovelace in the 200 breast against Arizona, and second in the 100 breast against USC... named the Pac-10's Swimmer of the Month for November after stellar performances at the Long Beach Arena Invite and against Cal in a tri-distance meet.... set two meet records at the Long Beach Arena Invite, winning the 100 breast (53.37) and the 400 medley relay (3:12.57). Also won the 200 breast... had the top time of any of the tri-distance swimmes in the breaststroke, winning the 100 and 200 events, swimming 50, 100 and 200 yards against Cal.
2009-2010 Season (Junior): Earned All-American honors with an eighth place finish in the 100 breaststroke (52.83) and a 14th place finish in the 200 breaststroke (1:55.59) at the NCAAs...placed third in the 200 breaststroke and fourth in the 100 breaststroke at the Pac-10 Championships.
2008-09 Season (Sophomore): Named an All-American in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and as a part of the 200 medley relay team... had the NCAA's second-fastest 100 breaststroke time during the year (51.75) and the fifth-best 200 breaststroke (1:52.98)... finished second at the Pac-10's 100 breaststroke (52.16)... part of school-record setting 400 medley relay at the Pac-10 Championships, as they were edged out by Cal in the finals by three tenths of a second... placed third at the NCAAs in the 100 breaststroke, with a time of 51.89, after breaking the school-record in the preliminaries (51.75)... in the finals, he beat defending NCAA Champion and teammate Paul Kornfeld, who was fourth.
2007-08 Season (Freshman): Earned two All-America honors after placing fifth in the 200 breast and 13th in the 100 breast at the 2008 NCAA Championships...also competed in the 200 IM at the NCAAs where he finished 46th...contributed to the Stanford's Pac-10 title by placing second in the 200 breast, sixth in the 100 breast, and 17th in the 200 IM... had the NCAA's seventh-best 200 breast time at 1:55.46 and the 16th-fastest 100 breast time (53.37).
High School: California high school state record-holder in the 100-yard breaststroke (54.17).
