As a Redshirt Junior in 2004: In his three seasons on The Farm, fifth year senior Kevin Hansen has established himself as on of the top setters in the country and one of the best in the history of Stanford men's volleyball... Hansen owns two of the top ten single-season assist totals (1,317 in 2002, 1,318 in 2003) in program history and has already amassed 3,804 assists, good for fourth on the Stanford career list... His 12.89 assists per game ranks ninth on Stanford's career list... Named third team All-American after posting 1,169 assists....Earned his third Molten/MPSF Player of the week (Jan 22.) after a combined 101 assists and 19 digs in victories against UCLA and UC Irvine...Ranked first on the team in hitting percentage (.445), digs (188), and digs per game (1.92)... Also led the team with 18 service aces... Candidate for post-season honors.

As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2003: Turned in a spectacular sophomore season as the team's starting setter, playing in 101 games (all 29 matches) ... Was named MPSF Honorable Mention for the second straight season ... Distributed 1,318 assists in 2003, the seventh most assists in a single season in program history ... Owns two of the top 10 single-season assist totals in Stanford men's volleyball history (7th, 1,318 and 8th, 1,317) ... In just two seasons, already ranks fourth on the Cardinal career assists list with 2,635 ... Finished the season with a 13.05 assists per game average, good for the 14th best average in the nation ... Ranked second on the team in digs (189) and digs per game (1.87) ... Tallied 40 or more assists in a match 21 times and handed out 60 or more assists on five different occasions ... Recorded five double-doubles in 2003 ... Best all-around performance came at Cal State Northridge (1/31/03) when he narrowly missed a triple-double by handing out 60 assists, registering 12 digs and posting eight blocks. Earned his second career Molten MPSF Player of the Week honor on April 16, 2003 after guiding the Cardinal to a perfect 3-0 record on the road the previous week. Tallied 106 assists, seven kills, 10 digs and six blocks in three matches at the Husky Dino Cup in October ... As a Redshirt Freshman in 2002: Starting setter was named Honorable Mention All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation ... Named the Molten Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week on Feb. 20 after recording a combined total of 100 assists, 15 digs, six kills and two service aces in home victories over Pacific and UCLA ... Guided Stanford to a .360 team hitting percentage in MPSF play, which ranked second in the conference ... Appeared in 96 games (all 26 matches), and recorded 1,317 assists, 74 kills, 27 service aces, 149 digs, 49 blocks and a .404 hitting percentage ... Ranked second on the team in service aces, third in digs and hitting percentage and fourth in blocks ... The 1,317 assists was the seventh highest single season total in school history, and already moves him into eighth on Stanford's career assist list ... Also ranks sixth in career service aces per game with 0.281 and seventh in career assists per game with 13.72 ... Recorded season bests of five blocks and three aces on Jan. 25 vs. Cal State Northridge ... Had a season-high 76 assists, to go along with 12 digs, four kills and two blocks, on Feb. 22 vs. Pepperdine ... Tallied a season-high 16 digs at UC San Diego on March 6 ... High School: Led the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club to the 2000 Junior National Championship, and was named tournament MVP ...
