Scott Birdwell enters his second year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Stanford men's volleyball team. Though relatively new to the coaching staff, Birdwell is no stranger to the Cardinal men's volleyball program, helping to facilitate several Stanford volleyball clinics in the past five years.
A former volunteer assistant coach for Los Gatos High School, Birdwell was a four-year starter on the Princeton men's volleyball team (1995-98) and captained the 1998 Tigers team that reached the Final Four in Honolulu, HI.
Birdwell graduated from Princeton with a B.S. degree in civil engineering, received a M.S.E in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford in 2002, andis currently working towards an MBA from Stanford's graduate school of business.
