Best Times at Stanford: 200 Free (1:39.02, 2009), 500 Free (4:18.97, 2009), 1650 Free (14:54.81, 2009), 200 fly (1:53.33, 2011)
International Competition: Competed in the 1,500 free at the 2008 U.S. Olympic trials in Omaha... also swam at the U.S. Open in Federal Way, Wash. in the 1,500, where he was 21st (15:55.12)...Olympic trials qualifier in the 1,500 free...finished 14th at 2007 Open Water nationals in the 5k...finished 3rd in the 1,500 free at 2006 junior nationals...finished fifth in the 800 free at the 2006 junior nationals.
2010-2011 Season (Senior): Finished fifth in the 1650 free at the Pac-10 Championships with a time of 15:19.76... reached the B Finals of the Pac-10 Championships in the 500 free, where he was 11th (4:23.41) and 16th in the 200 fly (1:53.33)... Academic All-Pac-10.
2009-2010 Season (Junior): Placed sixth in the 1650 freestyle at the Pac-10 Championships with a season best time of 15:12.37...placed 14th in the 500 freestyle at the Pac-10s with a mark of 4:22.04...placed fifth in the 200 butterfly against USC.
2008-09 Season (Sophomore): Swam the 20th-fastest 1650-yard freestyle time in the NCAA last year (14:54.81) at the Pac-10 Championships... he also posted a season-best in the 500 (4:18.97) at the same meet.
2007-08 Season (Freshman): Swam the second fastest time in the 1,650 free for Stanford with a mark of 15:26.34, which was a NCAA `B' standard...had team's third-fastest in the 1,000 free (9:22.61) and fifth-fastest time in the 500 free (4:28.36).
High School: Was a 2006 and 2007 prep All-American in the 500-yard freestyle at Rio American High School.
Personal: Psychology major...parents are Tierney and Joel Korotkin...has two brothers, Jason and Brian.
