Santa Clara No Match for Top-Ranked Stanford, 80-57
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Olympia Scott scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead top-ranked Stanford to an 80-57 victory over Santa Clara.
Jamila Wideman added 17 points and Naomi Mulitauaopele had 16 and seven rebounds for the Cardinal (10-1), who outscored Santa Clara, 46-28, over the second half.
Lisa Sacco led Santa Clara with 14 points and six assists while Julie Brantley had 12 points and six rebounds. The Broncos shot 33 percent (22-for-66) and were outrebounded, 44-32.
Stanford, who has rebounded from Tuesday's 83-66 loss to Old Dominion with two wins, shot 49 percent (30-for-61).
