HONOLULU -- Kate Starbird scored 26 points and Olympia Scott added 13 pointsand nine rebounds as top-ranked Stanford routed Houston, 83-51,in the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic at Hawaii.
Vanessa Nygaard had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Stanford(4-0), which shot 49 percent (17-for-35) in the first half andbuilt a 45-20 halftime lead. Naomi Mulitauaopele added 11points in 15 minutes for the Cardinal.
Stanford will play 24th-ranked Stephen F. Austin in the nextround on Saturday.
Donna Serna and Alicia Rodriguez each scored 11 points forHouston, which shot just 34 percent (16-for-47).
