Folkl, No. 3 Stanford Annihilate Wildcats, 90-65
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Kate Starbird scored 15 points and Olympia Scott and KristinFolkl each added 14 as third-ranked Stanford placed six playersin double figures and cruised to a 90-65 rout of Arizona in aPac-10 Conference game.
Folkl also contributed 12 rebounds and Jamilia Wideman had 11points and eight assists for Stanford (29-1, 17-0 Pac-10). TheCardinal jumped out to a 35-18 lead as Wideman hit a pair ofthree-pointers to cap an 11-4 run with just over six minutesleft in the first half.
Adia Barnes had 29 points to lead all scorers for Arizona, whichshot just 33 percent (24-for-73) from the floor and wasoutrebounded, 51-39. The Wildcats (21-7, 11-6) trailed athalftime, 42-32, and did not threaten in the second half.
Stanford closes the regular season Saturday with a trip toArizona State.
