Starbird Sparks No. 3 Stanford to Win Over Sun Devils, 96-64
STANFORD, Calif. -- Kate Starbird scored 21 points and Olympia Scott added 19 as third-ranked Stanford posted a 96-64 victory over Arizona State in a Pac-10 matchup.
Naomi Mulitauaopele had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinal, which improved to 13-1. Stanford took a 50-37 lead into halftime and owned a 43-20 rebounding edge. The Cardinal shot 58 percent from the field (36-for-62).
Arizona State placed just two players in double-figure scoring as Molly Tuter had 16 points and Stephanie Freeman contributed 13. The Sun Devils shot 40 percent but were just 6-for-20 from beyond the three-point arc.
