BERKELEY, Calif. -- Kate Starbird scored 18 points to lead five players in doublefigures as Stanford cruised to an 82-50 Pac-10 Conferencevictory over California.
Vanessa Nygaard had 17 points and Olympia Scott added 10 andnine rebounds for the Cardinal, who led by 22 points at halftimedespite shooting just 37 percent from the field (14-for-38).
Stanford (28-1, 16-0 Pac-10) hit 50 percent (11-for-22) of itsthree-point attempts as Charmin Smith and Jamilia Wideman went3-for-4 and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, respectively.
Patrycja Czepiec had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the GoldenBears (6-19, 2-14), who shot 35 percent (20-for-57) from thefield, including 4-for-18 from three-point range. Californiaalso missed 15 of 21 free-throw attempts.
