Miller Boots Oregon With OT Field Goal, 27-24

Kevin Miller kicked a 26-yard field goal in overtime to liftStanford to a 27-24 victory over Oregon in a Pac-10 Conferencegame.

Orgeon had the first overtime possession but Stanford defensiveend Kailee Wong stripped the ball from quarterback Tony Grazianiand defensive tackle Carl Hansen recovered it.

Stanford (2-3, 1-1 Pac-10) took over at the Oregon 25-yard lineand Mike Mitchell rushed twice for 11 yards and a first down.The Cardinal ran three plays to the Oregon 11 and Miller kickedthe game-winner on 4th-and-5.

Stanford, which had lost consecutive road games to Wisconsin andWashington, leads the all-time series with Oregon, 41-20-1.

Oregon (3-4, 0-4) has lost four straight games.

Mike Mitchell's six-yard run gave the Cardinal a 7-0 lead justunder three minutes into the game. He carried 20 times for 121yards.

Saladin McCullough's three-yard run tied the score with 9:23left in the first. Joshua Smith kicked a 19-yard field goal tocap a 17-play, 97-yard drive and give the Ducks a 10-7 lead with8:25 left in the second.

Graziani hooked up with Damon Griffin on a 50-yard scoring pass,giving Oregon a 17-7 lead just 1:15 into the third. Grazianiwas 16-of-32 for 254 yards and Griffin caught two passes for 73yards.

Mitchell ran 42 yards for a score to pull the Cardinal within17-14 just over five minutes into the fourth, but Pat Johnsonran back the ensuing kickoff 95 yards to give the Ducks a 24-14cushion.

Chad Hutchinson found Damon Dunn with a 27-yard scoring pass,pulling the Cardinal within 24-21 with 8:02 to go in the fourth.Hutchinson was 27-of-41 for 365 yards and Dunn had eight catchesfor 115 yards.

Miller kicked a 25-yarder with 50 seconds left in regulation.
