Stanford Posts 25-2 Win Over San Jose State

Adam Salina scored touchdowns all three times he touched theball in the first half, lifting Stanford to a 25-2 victory overSan Jose State.

Salinas had two-yard touchdown runs in the first and secondquarter and caught a six-yard touchdown pass from ChadHutchinson with one second left in the half for a 23-0 cushion.Salinas had just one other carry, a three-yard run in the secondhalf.

Hutchinson completed 17-of-20 passes for 183 yards with oneinterception and Kevin Miller kicked a 24-yard field goal forStanford (1-1), which lost to Utah last week. The teamsexchanged safeties in the second half.

The game marked some defensive improvement for San Jose State(0-3), which had yielded exactly 45 points in each of its lastthree games dating back to last season.

Stanford has won the last five meetings between the teams.
