Stanford Defeats Washington State in Overtime

STANFORD, Calif.--The Stanford women's soccer team defeated Washington State, 1-0 in overtime today at Harry Maloney Field on the campus of Stanford University. Stanford improves to 7-7 on the season and 2-2 in the Pac-10. Washington State drops to 7-7, 2-3 in the conference.

Stanford's Emily Burt broke a 0-0 tie at the 90:48 mark, 48 seconds into the first overtime period. Burt's goal off a pass from Shauna Itri gave Stanford the 1-0 victory.

Stanford will face Washington in the final home match of the season on Sunday, October 26 at noon.
