DALLAS – Stanford finished second at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, as Tuesday’s final round marked the end of the 54-hole men’s golf tournament at Royal Oaks Country Club. The Cardinal posted respective teams scores of 349-346-350.

The finish was Stanford’s fourth top-10 showing in as many events this fall, and third top-five performance.

Oklahoma went 340-349-340 to win the event at 36-under. Stanford was 16 strokes off the lead with its 20-under team performance. Baylor (17-under), New Mexico (16-under) and Southern Methodist (14-under) were next in line.

Patrick Rodgers and his final-round 65 was the best score of any Cardinal in the event. Rodgers worked around two bogeys on the front nine with three birdies before the turn, going on to post a 5-under on the back nine.

Rodgers (70-71-65) tied with Cameron Wilson (69-67-70) at 206 for eighth place. Wilson doubled the first hole to start off Tuesday but played the next 17 holes at 3-under. Wilson had one bogey in three rounds on the back nine.

David Boote (70-67-71) tied for 13th at 5-under. Boote was 3-over through five holes in the final round, but rallied back to finish his final trek through the course at even.

Jim Liu (68-72-73, 213, E) tied for 29th, Patrick Grimes (72-71-71, 214, +1) tied for 32nd and Viraat Badhwar (72-70-73, 215, +2) tied for 37th.
