Stanford made things easier on its bullpen after the five-run sxith. Doubles from Taylor and Diekroeger, a single by Slater and Blandino's homer made it a 10-1 lead.
The Cardinal had previously plated four in the second thanks to two hits, two walks and two sac bunts. The inning was highlighted by a perfectly executed squeeze play by Drew Jackson to score Blandino and a three-run triple to deep right center by Taylor.
