TAMPA, Fla. – Stanford sailing finished third at the Frank Mendelblatt Team Race, winning 60 percent of its races.
The Cardinal finished behind South Florida’s No. 1 and No. 3 boats, which won 96.7 and 70 percent of their races, respectively. Eckerd College placed fourth (36.7 percent), followed by South Florida No. 2 (36.7 percent) and South Florida No. 4.
Stanford was represented by skippers Molly McKinney, Sarah Mace, Axel Sly and Maeve White. Crews participating for the Cardinal included Cally Tullo, Samantha Steele, Nicolette Obel and McKenzie Wilson.
The Cardinal will compete next weekend at the Bob Bavier Team Race and McIntyre Team Race.
