FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Stanford placed four divers in the top eight of the 3-meter event Thursday night at the King County Aquatic Center to begin the diving portion of the Pac-12 Conference Championships.

Kristian Ipsen (437.05) was second, Noah Garcia (373.95) was fourth, Connor Kuremsky (365.90) was sixth and Bradley Christensen (329.60) was eighth.

Arizona State’s Riley McCormick won the event with a 439.70, edging out fellow Olympian Ipsen by over two points.

Ipsen, the defending 3-meter Pac-12 champion, was first through the prelims, as his 422.50 bettered second-place Rafael Quintero (416.25) and McCormick (404.15).

Garcia jumped four spots from the prelims to the finals, starting the day with a 340.30.

The meet continues Friday with the 1-meter prelims and quarterfinals, followed by the championship in the evening.
