FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Kristian Ipsen defended his 1-meter title Friday evening at the King County Aquatic Center. The junior was one of three Cardinal to finish in the top eight of the event on the second day of the Pac-12 Conference Championships.
Ipsen posted a 481.65 in the finals for the win, earning the 10th 1-meter title in Stanford history. The All-American is the third Cardinal to win multiple 1-meter crowns, joining Bill Main (1968, 1970-710 and Dwight Dumais (2007, 2009).
Arizona’s Rafael Quintero was second with a distant 413.90 behind Ipsen. Connor Kuremsky (367.55) was fourth and Bradley Christensen (363.40) took fifth.
The meet resumes with the platform event on Saturday.
