Another Shutout Before The Break

STANFORD, Calif.- No. 4 Stanford blanked No. 42 Washington 7-0 on Friday afternoon in its Pac-12 opener at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cardinal (9-0, 1-0 Pac-12) registered its fifth shutout of the season in its first home match since a 7-0 win over Florida back on Feb. 23.

After sweeping all three matches to claim the doubles point, Stanford rattled off six straight-set victories in singles. The Cardinal surrendered three games or less in all 12 sets.

Kristie Ahn and Taylor Davidson both produced 6-0, 6-0 victories while Caroline Doyle’s 6-0, 6-2 triumph at the No. 6 position clinched the match.

Stanford is idle until a road match at Utah on March 23.
