STANFORD, Calif. –
Stanford sailing raced to top-five finishes at two regattas on opposite sides of the country this weekend, including a first-place result at the PCCSC Women’s Championship.

Competing against 11 schools, the Cardinal was dominant at the PCCSC Women’s Championship in Santa Barbara, Calif., finishing 28 points ahead of second-place Hawaii. Stanford tallied 36 points and was followed by Hawaii (64), UC Santa Barbara (73) and Westmont (103).

Molly McKinney and Cally Tullo represented the Cardinal in division-A and placed second in the group. The duo finished in the top-five in each of their 10 races and claimed five victories.

Tullo also raced in division-B alongside Maeve White, Yuki Yoshiyasu, Michelle Catania and Noelle Herring. The quintet combined for an impressive eight victories in 10 races, finishing second in the two other competitions. Stanford earned a first-place finish in the division with a remarkable 12 points.

Stanford also sent a contingent to the Emily Wick Trophy in New London, Conn., and finished fifth of 18 teams. The Cardinal recorded 240 points behind first-place Yale (153), Rhode Island (184), Dartmouth (208) and MIT (221).

Sarah Mace and Samantha Steele sailed in division-A and placed fifth with 84 points. The pair notched 12 top-10 finishes in 14 races, including eight in the top-five and two victories.

Lily Katz and McKenzie Wilson represented Stanford in division-B, tallying 156 points to finish 12 in their group. Katz and Wilson sailed to four top-10 placements and two top-five results.

Stanford will compete in three regattas next weekend at the South 5 in Los Angeles, Thompson Trophy in New London, Conn., and Truxtun Umsted in Annapolis, Md.
