Oct. 9-10 Parking Advisory

Stanford Athletics will host a rare Friday night football game when the Cardinal hosts Washington State on October 10 at 6 p.m.

While hosting a Friday night game increases the Cardinal’s exposure with another national broadcast (ESPN), it also poses logistical challenges, specifically parking.

Stanford classes and employees will operate on a normal schedule, therefore, game day parking will be impacted. Stanford Athletics is committed to providing a great game day experience and has worked with Stanford Parking & Transportation Services on a modified parking plan to best service the needs of everyone on campus.

Please follow the links on the right-side of this page for detailed parking information and campus parking maps for the Washington State game.

All game day parking lots will open at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10.

Fans and community members should anticipate heavy traffic getting to and around campus starting at 4 p.m. and are strongly encouraged to arrive at Stanford as early as possible.

Among special lot hours, Lot 2 will open at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8 while the Track, Varsity and Sunken lots will be closed for commuters at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. Fans with Varsity and Touchdown Galvez Lot passes will be permitted to park in the Groves surrounding the paved Galvez lot until 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10. After 4 p.m. that day, fans with these passes will be allowed to park in the paved lot, space permitting.

Caltrain will be accessible from Palo Alto and California Ave. stations but the Stanford Stadium station will not be open. Following the game, the last Northbound train will depart Palo Alto at 11:01 p.m. while the last Southbound train departs the station at 12:57 a.m.

Ample bike parking spaces are provided near Gates 3, 5 and 7 with security provided by the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition. (For a list of all alternative transportation methods, click here).

For parking questions, please contact Stanford Athletics Operations & Events at (650) 736-PARK or email athletics-parking@stanford.edu.
