CORVALLIS, Ore. – The top-ranked Stanford women’s volleyball team extended its winning streak to 21 with a 25-17, 22-25, 26-24, 25-15 win at Oregon State, Friday, at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore. The Cardinal improves to 21-0 and 11-0 in the Pac-12, while the Beavers drop to 14-8 and 4-7 in the conference. Stanford is now 60-0 all-time against Oregon State.

Stanford’s 21 wins to start the season is the best since 1991, when it won 27 in a row. The Cardinal, which is second in the nation in hitting percentage, posted a .373 clip, while holding the Beavers to a .191 attack percentage.

Junior setter Madi Bugg controlled the offense with a season high 59 assists to go with a career high 18 digs. She now has 10 double-doubles on the season.

Junior middle blocker Inky Ajanaku, a human biology major from Tulsa, Okla., led Stanford offensively with 18 kills on a .469 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Brittany Howard tallied a season high 14 kills to go with 11 digs for her first double-double of the season.

Senior opposite Morgan Boukather also turned in a double-double, her fifth of the year, with 14 kills and 15 digs. Redshirt freshman middle blocker Merete Lutz finished with 11 kills on a .421 hitting percentage and three blocks.

Junior outside hitter Jordan Burgess was the fourth Cardinal to record a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs, while collecting a career high four assists. Senior libero Kyle Gilbert finished with 16 digs.

Oregon State was led by freshman outside hitter Mary-Kate Marshall’s 16 kills and 11 digs. Setter Tayla Woods also registered a double-double with 39 assists and 14 digs.

The Cardinal wraps-up its road trip on Sunday, Nov. 2 at No. 12 Oregon. Stanford and the Ducks square off at 11 a.m. PT on the Pac-12 Networks.
