Santa Barbara, Calif. - The Cardinal displayed its depth in Santa Barbara this past weekend, splitting into a "White" and "Cardinal" squad to take second and third place, respectively, at the Pacific Coast Championship.

Lily Katz and Kennedy Placek led the White team to a third-place finish in A-division, just ahead of fifth-place finishers Axel Sly and Cally Tullo, who represented the Cardinal team in A-division. Sly and Tullo won two of the nine races, but eight top-five finishes were enough for Katz and Placek to stay ahead on the leaderboard.

Holly Tullo and Noelle Herring won two races and earned eight top-five finishes to place second in B-division for the White squad. The duo finished 11 points ahead of the Cardinal's B-division boat, which featured Will La Dow and Amelia Hardy for the first eight races and Reinier Eenkema van Dijk and J.P. Cannistraro for the final race.

In C-division, Maeve White and Grace Lucas won five on nine races to finish just behind Hawaii and well ahead of the pack in second place for the White team. Scott Buckstaff and Nikki Obel also put up a strong performance for the Cardinal squad, finishing one point behind third-place Long Beach State.
