Fresh Faces on the Podium

With five freshmen, two sophomores and one junior in action on the East Coast this weekend, the Cardinal showed its youth movement is ready to make an impact with a third-place finish at the Nickerson Trophy Regatta in Medford, Mass., and a sixth-place performance at the Victorian Coffee Urn in Hanover, N.H.

At the Nickerson, Will La Dow paired up with Amelia Hardy to place fourth in A-division. The duo closed with three top-three finishes in the last four races to move up the leaderboard. In B-division, Elena VandenBerg and Haley Fox finished in the top 10 of all 10 races to earn sixth place.

Up at Darmouth, under frigid conditions, sophomore Maeve White and freshman Grace Lucas finished sixth in A-division by grabbing three top-five finishes in the 10-race event. The B-division team of Holly Tullo and Noelle Herring finished eighth.
