INDIAN WELLS, Calif. - Taylor Davidson and Carol Zhao claimed their first doubles title of the season on Sunday, taking home the hardware at the NCTC Classic.
Davidson and Zhao outlasted USC’s team of Gabrielle DeSimone and Zoe Katz 7-5, as the Cardinal duo collected its second crown of the season. Davidson and Zhao, who compiled a 7-2 record during the fall, reached the semifinals of the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships and earned a runner-up finish at the Riviera ITA All-American Championships.
Zhao teamed with Krisite Ahn in 2014 to win the NCTC Classic
