WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – Stanford went from fourth to eighth after the second round of the Amer Ari Invitational at the Waikoloa Kings’ Course. The 14th-ranked men’s golf team shot a 3-under 285 Friday to stand at 13-under through 36 holes with one round remaining.

Washington (-30) leads the 18 participating programs.
Maverick McNealy (-8) is the lone Cardinal in the top-10 among individuals, turning in a team-best 3-under in his second round. McNealy eagled the par-5 fourth and added four birdies.
Viraat Badhwar, who is tied for 24th at 3-under, was even with four birdies but as many bogeys.
David Boote was bogey-free and had two birdies to move to 2-under overall and share 39th place.
Jeffrey Swegle was 4-over and Patrick Grimes shot an even-par 72.
Dominick Franks was 2-over Friday and 10-over for the tournament.
