BOISE, Idaho - No. 43 Stanford posted a 6-1 victory over Boise State on Wednesday afternoon.
Navigating through a stretch that includes four matches played over six days, Stanford (8-4) locked up the doubles point and quickly ripped off three singles wins.
Tom Fawcett knocked off Garrett Patton 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot, followed by Robert Stineman’s 6-2, 7-6 (0) victory on court three.
The clincher came from David Wilczynski, who defeated Toby Mitchell 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 3 position.
Boise State (6-12) collected its only point at No. 5, where Lewis Roskilly outlasted Maciek Romanowicz 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (3).
Stanford returns to Taube Family Tennis Stadium this weekend, hosting Utah (Friday, 4 p.m. PT) and Arizona (Saturday, 2 p.m. PT).
