CHICAGO – Stanford outscored No. 17 UIC and Arizona State’s club team in every event Sunday to conclude its regular season slate of competition with a first-place results.
The Cardinal (8-2, 4-1 MPSF) tallied a 425.800 to place ahead of UIC (408.250) and Arizona State (397.300). Four Stanford gymnasts combined for five individual event victories.
Stanford scored 71.550 or higher in four-of-six events and excelled on floor (72.650) and high bar (72.600).
Michael Levy led the Cardinal with individual event wins on floor (14.950) and rings (14.950). Brandon Beckhardt earned the individual victory on rings with a 14.200.
Freshman Ryan Sheppard went 15.150 on high bar to place first, while classmate Robert Neff tallied a 87.300 in the all-around to earn his first collegiate win in the event.
Stanford has the next week off before traveling to Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the MPSF Championships on March 28.
