STANFORD, Calif. – Mariah Stackhouse was named to Glamour’s annual list of Top 10 College Women, as announced Wednesday by the magazine. Stackhouse will be profiled in the May 2015 issue of Glamour, on national newsstands April 14, and on Glamour.com.
Stackhouse, a junior communication major from Riverdale, Georgia, made national headlines during her first season on the women’s golf team by setting a Stanford Golf Course and NCAA women’s record with a 10-under 61 during to win the Peg Barnard Invitational.
The two-time All-American also led the United States to the 2014 Curtis Cup title.
As one of the 10 college students to earn the distinction, Stackhouse has been invited to an awards ceremony and panel discussion on April 13 at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City.
For 58 years, Glamour’s Top 10 College Women competition has recognized students from across the country for their campus leadership, scholastic achievement, community involvement, and unique, inspiring goals.
Past winners range from Martha Stewart to former Dallas mayor Laura Miller.
