STANFORD, Calif. – Four Stanford women’s gymnasts were named Scholastic All-Americans, announced recently by the Naitonal Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).

Fifty-eight Stanford gymnasts have now claimed 121 NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honors.

The four Cardinal selected were: senior human biology major Kristina Vaculik (3.95 GPA), senior science, technology and society major Samantha Shapiro (3.69), senior product design major Rebecca Wing (3.70), junior architectural design major Jenna Frowein (3.93) and junior science, technology and society major Sophia Lee (3.70)

Shapiro and Wing claimed their fourth consecutive honors of their careers, while Frowein collected her third award in as many years. It is the first award for Vaculik.

Stanford was also recognized as a NACGC/W Scholastic All-America team, earning a 3.34 team cumulative GPA.

Stanford returned to the NCAA Championships for the 12th time in the past 15 years in 2015, with six gymnasts combining for nine All-America honors. The Cardinal finished fifth at the NCAA Championships with a 197.250 – the team’s second-highest score ever at an NCAA Championships competition.
