STANFORD, Calif. – Jessica Chisholm was named America East Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
Chisholm (human biology) was instrumental in Stanford’s two shutout victories this past weekend, both 1-0 defeats of Indiana and Miami (Ohio).
The senior from Tauranga, New Zealand, also scored the game-winning goal against Miami (Ohio) on Sunday, a one-time effort on a penalty corner set play into the bottom right corner assisted by Maddie Secco. Chisholm’s four shots were a team-high.

Chisholm’s experience in the backfield has helped Stanford concede just four goals in as many games, all against top-five ranked opponents. Each of the contests have been decided by one goal.
Stanford returns to action this week with games against No. 15 Iowa, Saint Louis, and Kent State in Iowa City, Iowa.
