STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore running back Christian McCaffrey was named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday.
McCaffrey, a native of Castle Rock, Colorado, set a school record with 243 yards rushing on 25 carries (9.7 yards/carry) in three quarters of action in Stanford’s 56-35 win over UCLA. He did not have a single rush for negative yardage.
McCaffrey tied the Cardinal single-game record with four rushing touchdowns.
His 369 all-purpose yards against the Bruins are the most by any FBS player this season and 10 short of the school record.
