PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Stanford sailing team finished 11th at the Sherman Hoyt trophy this past weekend.
The Cardinal finished 11th in the two-division competition, which was limited to just 10 races by weather conditions.
In the A-division, senior skipper Axel Sly and sophomore skipper Grace Lucas finished 14th. Sophomore skipper Luke Muller and sophomore crew Elena VandenBerg took eighth place in the B-division.
The Cardinal returns to action next weekend at the PCCSC Match Race Conference Championship and the PCCSC Fall Women’s. Both events will take place at the Stanford Rowing and Sailing Center in Redwood City, California.
