Held on the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss, Read Across America Day is designed to celebrate the great author and to highlight reading in America’s elementary and middle schools.

“Read Across America is one of the most exciting days of the year for our student-athletes,” said senior associate athletics director Matt Doyle. “It’s always a joy to get out in the community and talk to young students about the importance of reading, and respecting your classmates and teachers.”
