OJAI, Calif. - No. 13 Stanford concluded its first day of action at the Pac-12 Championships on Thursday afternoon.
Caroline Doyle and Krista Hardebeck both won a pair of singles matches to advance to Friday’s quarterfinals. Doyle became the third Cardinal player to reach the 20-win plateau and defeated her highest-ranked opponent of the season in No. 12 Klara Fabikova of California.
Meanwhile, Hardebeck has now won 17 in a row overall, the longest winning streak in a season by a Cardinal player since Nicole Gibbs won her final 17 matches in 2012 on the way to her first of two NCAA Singles titles.
